MAY I SUGGEST:
Look, I get it. If you came to this page, you are looking for more evidence to convince you that we are legit and that we do not charge people for doing fake surgeries and use distilled water as medication. Truth is you have no way of knowing if any claims on this or any other website are true or not.You are welcome to roam around my website and read my testimonials, it is going to look pretty much the same as any other website you visit.
Rather do this:
- Go back to the Home page and order the Free Reports
- After that, schedule an Initial Evaluation Appointment
The only way to see if we are going to click with each other, is to meet me and talk to me. The only way to judge my skills is to watch me do a complete physical exam and consultation and compare it to any you have had before. If you are not happy ,we shake hands and agree to go our separate ways. Coming in for the Initial Evaluation Examination, does not obligate you to do or buy anything else! But that will give you one thousand times more information than this website.
Sincerely.
Albert H Nelmapius D.V.M.
Now having said that, let me give you some things to consider:
If you Google me, or look me up on some of the Internet shopping pages you will find two things:
Lots of profuse praise for me and my staff from legitimate, real life people, some who have been coming here for over 25 years, and some who have moved away and still choose to drive over 50 miles to come back to see us.
Then you will find about 4 or 5 scathing attacks on me personally and my practice in general. What does that make it? One every 5 years or so? Pretty good record if you ask me. I have made no attempt to squash those, because it proves two things: One, I am not right for everybody, and two, all those testimonials are legit, not manufactured by me.
Over the years I have learned that you cannot work with the general public without ruffling a few feathers here or there. Some of the most brilliant physicians I have worked for, have had the most vocal and vicious detractors.
There are generally two kinds of accusations:
- One kind is where I get a phone call later accusing me of having missed a diagnosis. Now the pet might be dead, or at the emergency room being treated for something I should have seen and prevented. These criticisms eat at me day and night. I have sleep loss and depression over those. Veterinarians NEVER forget these and secretly vow NEVER to make that same mistake again.
- Then there is the kind that accuses me of being too thorough. They usually take the form of accusing me or my staff of being rude- translate, the client paid for an examination and when they are told that most diseases are impossible to diagnose or treat based solely on visual appearance, they have a fit. Not only do they expect me to diagnose without the use of radiographs and blood-work, they expect any and all possible treatment plans and medications to be included in the examination fee. Then there are the ones that said they looked on the Internet or consulted with their neighbor's younger sister who once volunteered as a veterinary assistant, and they said I ripped them off. They could have gotten a band aid and a cortisone shot for $5 elsewhere and we are just highway robbers. It is not unusual for these pets to be vicious, obese, four years behind in their medical care, suffering from severe periodontal disease and arthritic pain from bad diet and obesity, and probably have three or four other diseases like diabetes, pyoderma, kidney failure and thyroid disease all at the same time.None of which the owner wants to know about.
You know what? I don't miss having those patients one bit! I lose NO sleep over that criticism. In fact, a few years ago, I decided that I want to limit my practice to people who respect my opinion and follow my advice. Life is too short to try and satisfy all the whiners out there who won't do the right thing anyway.
So we decided to head them off at the door. If possible, we want them to disqualify themselves before they show up. We want them to realize right up front. that we are not interested in being the Walmart of veterinary medicine and to seek their advice elsewhere.
PHEW got that off my chest, so here are a few testimonials you were looking for:
- I needed to find an animal clinic, being from North Dakota and I didn't know where to go. As we were driving I had seen the clinic. We stopped in and everyone was so nice and friendly, I was able to bring in our house kitty that same day, which I was really impressed with that because most places you have to wait a few days. The girls were so nice and concerned, even when I spoke to them on the phone, they would call me often. I had been to the clinic with our kitty to see how she was doing. The doctor was very nice, very informative, and I felt very comfortable talking with him, he was very concerned. I would and will keep telling others about Safari Animal Clinic, and how it is a very good place to go when your animal needs medical attention. -C. Buerkle
- The clinic had concern for my animal and her health. The doctor provided great explanations of what is going to be done. They offered a lot of help on preventative health concerns for my animal- Diane LeDac.
- I appreciated the time Doctor N. and his staff took with us, making sure that I understand everything that is taking place.-Bridget Catledge
- I liked the attention, including the details, from Doctor N. I also liked the check-up phone calls.-Brittany Caddic
